We live in a world where quasi-religious beliefs and vested financial interestes in AI trajectories shape the public discourse on AI policy and governance. As a speaker, I guide the audience through the backstage of the AI race: It’s underlying assumptions, economic mechanisms, strategic relevance and the societal implications that we all should have a voice in.

My flagship keynote on AI narratives, sovereignty and political futures examines the assumptions underpinning the AI race and highlights different strategic considerations for Europe based on the validity of those assumptions. I also speak about how AI relates to democracy and social cohesion, human-AI relationships, and AI regulation.
